Welcome lobby under construction at Sitar Next Door

The interior framing is nearly complete in Sitar Next Door at 1724 Kalorama Road, NW. On Jubilee Housing’s upper stories, wooden trusses are going in to support the third and fourth floors.

In the photo above, you can see metal framing around what will become Sitar Next Door’s Welcome Lobby, Program Offices (left), Student Lounge (right), S.T.E.A.M. Lab (upper right), and Art Walk Gallery (ahead). Photos below show other views of our S.T.E.A.M. Lab and Flex Theater and Community Space. We are starting to imagine the impactful arts learning and creations that will happen here!
